Carlos Castaneda said: pick a path with heart.
Not the path that makes sense. Not the safe one, or the practical one. The one that lights you up from the inside.
I know exactly where my Heartfire lives. It’s in creating art — where something beyond words moves through me and I trust the process and allow it to become what it is meant to be. It’s in dancing. In the rhythm of my doumbek or frame drum under my hands before my mind even catches up. In teaching Tai Chi and feeling the spiral internal force, or watching someone find stillness for the first time. In feeling the energy of the Alaskan landscape around me. And in communicating with animals — which goes far beyond what I experienced in thirty years as a wildlife biologist. Over time I learned to open myself to what animals were sending me, to trust what I was receiving, and to listen. In all of these moments I find a feeling of deep alignment — like I’m tuned to exactly the right frequency and the universe is sending signals that I can actually hear.
This is what alignment feels like. Quiet. Orbiting. Burning steadily from the center.
When You Listen to the Fire
Trusting that fire changed everything.
As a designer, I used to think of art as the finishing touch — the layer you add at the end. But when I stopped ignoring what actually lit me up, I rebuilt my entire business around energy art as the foundation. Not an accent. The center. And then it spread further than I expected. The art found its way into my bed and breakfast too — onto the walls, onto the linens, into the room itself — because art affects the energy of a space, and energy shapes every experience. What began as a HeartFire became the baseline of everything.
That’s what HeartFire does when you actually listen to it. It doesn’t just inspire you. It reorganizes your life.
When you trust the fire, it doesn't stay contained. It becomes the foundation of everything.
HeartFire and Your Authentic Self
My entire spiritual journey has been about learning who I truly am. What I’m in alignment with. What’s authentic to me. And then living it — exploring it, growing it.
Heartfire is the vehicle for all of that. When you’re connected to your authentic self, everything flows from there. Prosperity. Love. Health. Relationships. Business. HeartFire is not separate from those things. It’s the source of them.
Some people know immediately what their Heartfire is. Others need time to discover it — and that’s okay. The key is to trust your intuition about what it is, even before you fully understand it. Pay attention to what makes you feel alive. To what calls you back again and again even when you ignore it. To the moments when you stop overthinking and something just flows.
That’s the signal.
Some fires cannot be held back. They build until they are the only thing burning bright enough to follow.
The Energy of This Collection
Sometimes Heartfire is a quiet orbit — a pull you keep circling back to, even when you don’t call it a priority. A piece that wants to be made. A movement that wants to happen. A conversation with a creature you weren’t expecting. You can see that energy in the pieces where the Fractal Heart sits nested inside its own gravity — held, orbiting, contained but alive.
Other times it breaks open entirely. It radiates outward in every direction at once. It doesn’t wait for the schedule to clear. It builds, and builds, until it’s the only thing burning bright enough to follow. That’s the energy in the more explosive pieces — the ones where the fire has fully taken over.
The Fractal Heart is woven through each piece — always at the center. Because this is where everything begins. On the path with heart.
This is Heartfire at full strength. Unapologetic. Unstoppable. Yours.
Where This Art Belongs in Your Space
The HeartFire collection is bold, passionate, and unapologetically vibrant — deep reds, molten oranges, and threads of gold that pulse with movement and energy. This is not subtle art. It’s intentional.
From an interior design perspective these pieces are powerful focal points. They work best in spaces where you want to feel energized, inspired, and connected to your purpose — a home office or creative studio where you do your most meaningful work, a living room where you want the energy of the whole space to feel alive, or an entryway where the first thing you see every morning sets the tone for how you move through your day.
Because the palette is so saturated, a single HeartFire piece can anchor an entire room. Pair it with warm neutrals — creams, tans, soft browns — to let it breathe, or with deep charcoal and black for a dramatic, gallery-style statement. These pieces love a room that isn’t afraid of presence.
Each one was created with the same intention — to hold the energy of passion, authenticity, and fierce devotion to what matters most, and to bring that energy into the space and the life of the person who lives with it
When your walls reflect your fire, every room becomes a reminder of who you are.

A Simple Reflection
Before you move on, sit for just a moment with these three questions. There are no right answers. Just notice what comes.
Where in your life can you feel the HeartFire pulling at you — and where have you been putting it last on the list?
Is there something you keep circling back to, again and again, that might be trying to tell you something about the path you’re meant to be on?
What would shift in your life if you trusted that following what truly lights you up is not selfish or impractical — but the most important thing you can do?
